Stringing (otherwise known as oozing, whiskers, or "hairy" prints) occurs when small strings of plastic are left behind on a 3D printed model. This is typically due to plastic oozing out of the nozzle while the extruder is moving to a new location. Thankfully, there are several settings within Simplify3D that can help with this issue.

May 16, 2015 · I have an Acrylic Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B and I use Slic3r. I am fighting against stringing/oozing issue but I can’t reach good results even if I have tried almost every combination between travel speed, extruder temp. and retraction/retraction speed. It’s getting quite frustrating.. Any tip on how to solve my problems? Thank you. Like Like

Apr 27, 2018 · Each time printing the intro line made a very small blob on the nozzle. The nozzle was super clean before starting and dirty after the intro line. If you have the same problems this might be for you. With a dirty nozzle it collects more filament and looses it clogging to the print object. Well that was it for a lot of my prints.
